History of Flight
On Exhibit at the Fort Worth Convention and Visitors Bureau

Aviation has a long history in Fort Worth dating back to 1911 when the first plane took flight in the city. Since then, through encouragement from Amon G. Carter, Fort Worth has developed into a top-tier aviation center. The History of Flight exhibit, located at the Fort Worth CVB Information Center, explores the advancements in Fort Worth flight history - including Lindberg's visit in 1927 and many other memorable milestones.
