For almost 20 years, the Museum has partnered with Southern Methodist University faculty on important paleontological work: from excavating bones and fossils at sites in Texas to preparing the fossils for research and exhibitions.
LASER CONSOLE OPERATOR

Summary:
Planetarium Laser Console Operator will be responsible for operation of the new computerized planetarium system for laser music shows. With a basic knowledge of computers, the Planetarium Console Operator will undergo a full training onsite to learn our intricate system. PCO/PP will be required to undergo laser operational safety training.
The Planetarium Console Operator/Public Presenter will also be required to work some of the time in our exhibit area, interacting with guests waiting to attend shows.
Basic Function and Responsibilities, including but not limited to:
Able to deal with sophisticated computer systems.
Ability to interact with waiting crowds.
Qualifications:
Age: 19 years of age or older
Broad computer skills
Ability to multi-task and be detail-oriented
Extremely dependable
Excellent organizational skills
Effective problem-solving skills
Ability to sit or stand for long periods of time
Able to lift 50 pounds
Willingness to work weekends and holidays
